WebMail has amazing capabilities that many users may not notice. We have compiled a list of frequently asked questions in order to help you understand what it can do. Questions are grouped by type.
Message Composing and Sending
- Can I send HTML formatted email messages?
Yes, if you have Internet Explorer 5.5 or greater. In this case you can use the HTML editor in the compose screen.
- Can I save a message and work on it later?
Yes. If you click 'Save Draft' on the compose screen your message will be saved in the Drafts folder. To continue working on it, go to the Drafts folder and click its name.
Note: If you open a draft message you must either send it or save it again. If you do not do one of these things, your message will be lost.
- Can I add a signature to my email?
Yes, as long as you have created at least one in the configuration screen. At this time signatures are added to the beginning of your message. For this reason you should add your signature first and then compose your message above it.
- Can I have a default signature that is always added to my messages?
Not at this time. We are working on this for future versions.
Address Book
- How do I add someone to my address book?
There are a couple ways. The easiest is to simply click 'Add to Contacts' when reading an email message. This will take you to the address book with the contact record partially filled out. You may also manually enter contacts into your address book by clicking 'New Contact' when viewing the address book listings.
- How do I send an email to an address book contact?
Just locate the contact that you want and check one of the checkboxes to the left of the name. Once you have done that, click 'Compose' and you will be taken to a new message screen with the recipient information pre-filled for you.
